New Business of the Year and Spring!

March is almost past and I can feel spring in the air. It's hard to believe that in March, just one year ago, we started to convert this old gas station into a beer garden. The Milton 66 started with an idea that rehabilitating a vacant gas station could create a valuable link between "Commercial Row" and the rest of the Town of Milton. We have been hard at work building a business that we and the community can be proud of. Thank you for your support over the past year. We are not over any finish line and are really just getting started!

This month, the Milton 66 was recognized by the Caswell County Chamber as the 2023 New Business of the Year and 2023 Small Business of the Year! A big thank you to the Caswell County Chamber and member businesses for this incredible honor. Here are a few photos from the Chamber Dinner with Burton, Barry, and Hosanna receiving the awards.

This month has been full: from a Bedazzled Shamrock Scavenger Hunt to the arrival of wine slushies (you heard me right) and house plants, we have been digging in to local partnerships and finding the fun in running a small business. A big thank you to Aunt Millies and Milltown Eatery for partnering with us on the first ever St. Patrick’s Day Bedazzled Shamrock Scavenger Hunt. Folks took on the challenge to follow the limericks through all three businesses and then hunt through Milton to find the Bedazzled Shamrock!

Burton has been loading the store with houseplants this month and I am really excited to have so much green in the space. Our outdoor garden center will be opening in April just in time for the Spring Market! We are now serving The Accidental Baker crackers and Our Pride pimento cheese and have recently served NoDa Brewing’s Cheerwine Ale (sorry, all out of that) and now AMB Bojangles Hard Sweet Tea (yes! while supplies last).

All of that’s to say, we have been busy. We are looking forward to a full spring and really leaning into what it means to be a place of creativity and positive connection. Here are a few photos from the month.
